Overview

As an Asbestos Removal Operative & Trainee Asbestos Operative, you’ll support asbestos removal work and related site tasks, following instructions and working carefully with the team. The role suits candidates with practical construction skills or an interest in developing them.

Responsibilities

• Assist with asbestos-containing materials removal in accordance with legal guidelines, preparing work areas at various sites and set up enclosures prior to removal.
• Ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations to minimize exposure risks
• Dispose of asbestos waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Complete required paperwork and administrative documentation.

Requirements

Must undergo a medical examination and Face Fit testing.

Willingness to complete required role-specific training.
Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.

Must be clean shaven to ensure proper safety equipment fitting.
Preferred: Experience in asbestos removal or hazardous material handling is preferred, though full training will be provided for trainees.

Proficiency with construction or demolition hand and power tools. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging environments. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.

A valid UK driving licence is essential and over 18 years old

Pay: From £33,500.00 per year
