Mould & Damp Remediation Specialist

Salary: Starting rate of £180 per day - CIS
Job Type: Full-Time | Permanent

Location: Field-Based – Residential & Commercial Properties

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced asbestos operative looking for a secure, long-term position with opportunities to develop new skills and progress within the business.

The successful candidate will receive full training in specialist mould remediation techniques. However, previous hands-on asbestos removal experience and a valid C2C asbestos removal certificate are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess mould contamination, damp and moisture-related damage.
  • Set up controlled working areas, including containment and negative pressure systems where required.
  • Safely remove contaminated building materials, including plasterboard, insulation and timber.
  • Operate specialist equipment, including HEPA extraction systems, air filtration units and dehumidifiers.
  • Follow strict health and safety procedures, including PPE, RPE and decontamination protocols.
  • Carry out specialist cleaning, decontamination and structural drying.
  • Complete site reports, photographs and relevant documentation.
  • Maintain excellent standards of workmanship and customer service.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid C2C asbestos removal certificate – mandatory.
  • Proven practical experience working as an asbestos removal operative.
  • Experience with asbestos removal, containment and enclosure systems.
  • Knowledge of negative pressure units, PPE, RPE and decontamination procedures.
  • Understanding of risk assessments, method statements and safe working practices.
  • Reliable, hardworking and professional attitude.
  • Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to learn specialist mould remediation techniques.

Important: An asbestos awareness certificate alone, including an online awareness course, is NOT sufficient for this position.

Desirable Experience

  • Mould remediation, damp treatment or water damage restoration.
  • Property strip-out or controlled demolition.
  • Knowledge of building construction and materials.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
