Facilities Cleaner

That’s why we’re looking for a Facilities Cleaner who takes pride in high standards and understands the importance of doing the basics brilliantly. In this role, you’ll help ensure our facilities are spotless, well-maintained and ready for our guests to enjoy from the moment they arrive.

By working carefully, efficiently and with attention to detail, you’ll play a vital part in creating a positive first impression and maintaining the quality experience our guests expect. Salary: £8.85 per hour <18, £12.71 per hour 18+

Contract Type: Temporary

Hours: Variable hours

Location: Heather View, Stanhope, DL13 2PS

What you’ll be doing

  • Cleaning and maintaining the main complex building, including reception, bar and restaurant areas, leisure spaces and communal corridors
  • Ensuring all public areas are clean, tidy and presented to a high standard throughout the day
  • Cleaning washrooms and replenishing consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls
  • Carrying out routine and periodic deep cleaning tasks in line with company standards
  • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and sanitising floors and surfaces
  • Emptying bins and disposing of waste safely and responsibly
  • Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely in line with health and safety guidelines
  • Reporting any maintenance issues, damage or hazards within the complex promptly to the appropriate team

What we’re looking for

  • Previous cleaning experience (ideally within hospitality or leisure, though not essential as full training will be provided)
  • A strong eye for detail and pride in delivering high standards
  • A reliable, hardworking and proactive approach
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good awareness of health and safety practices
  • Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as required
  • A positive, can-do attitude and commitment to great guest experiences
