Full job description
We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Finance/Data Analyst to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong accounting knowledge and analytical capability who enjoys working with financial data, improving reporting, and delivering insight that supports confident business decision-making.
As a Finance/Data Analyst, you will play a key role in turning financial and operational data into meaningful insight. You will support accurate reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and help identify opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, and decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities for improvement
· Produce clear reports, dashboards, and commentary to support commercial and operational decision-making
· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing insight into business performance
· Work with accounting systems and datasets to improve data integrity, consistency, and reporting efficiency
· Collaborate with stakeholders across finance and the wider business to translate data into actionable recommendations
· Identify and support process improvements that enhance the quality, accessibility, and usefulness of management information
What we are looking for
· Proven experience in an accounting, finance/data analyst, or similar finance-focused role
· A strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and management information
· AAT, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and present clear, practical insight
· Good Excel skills and experience with reporting or visualisation tools such as Power BI would be highly beneficial
· Experience using finance or accounting systems and working confidently with large or complex datasets
· Excellent attention to detail, with a structured, accurate, and proactive approach to work
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with stakeholders across the business
