Laboratory Technician

Location: London, United Kingdom

Join our team in London as a Laboratory Technician, where you’ll play a key role in supporting scientific teams and ensuring our laboratories operate at the highest standards. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that helps improve lives around the world.

What you will do

  • Carry out routine daily and weekly calibration checks to ensure laboratory equipment is compliant and ready for use.

  • Prepare analytical buffers to support laboratory methods and scientific processes.

  • Manage laboratory consumables, ensuring stock levels are maintained and items are available at points of use.

  • Order consumables through the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and coordinate with internal stores.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness by cleaning glassware and plasticware and supporting washroom operations.

  • Process laboratory deliveries, including receipt, storage, and communication with relevant teams.

  • Clean and prepare water baths and other equipment in line with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) procedures.

  • Record data accurately in electronic and paper formats, following GMP and Data Integrity principles.

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally in a support or technician role.

  • Strong understanding of laboratory equipment, calibration processes, and maintenance requirements.

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage inventory effectively.

  • Familiarity with laboratory health, safety, and quality standards.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean, efficient, and compliant workspace.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
