With offices in London, Berlin, Dubai, and New York, we are the leading B2B video publisher in the world, producing in excess of 300 films per year.

We work with major brands across industries in helping them create compelling and inspirational content in areas such as innovation, sustainability, and leadership. We also work with international media partners such as the Reuters, FT, CBSNews, Business Insider, USA Today, Gulf News, Al Arabiya and Forbes.

We now have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Film Director to join our busy team and direct our exciting film shoots with some amazing brands!

Job description

Join us at Acumen media and integrate yourself into a London-based team, with shoots around the world for a wide variety of international clients across many sectors.

As a Film director you will be heavily involved in the creation process of the bespoke content for our clients. You will be part of creating engaging and thought-provoking videos that encourage the attention and trust of their audiences.

Travel is a big part of the job. You will be required to travel on film shoots around the world; our clients are in multiple continents, regions and locales so you will need to be comfortable working in new and exciting places.

You will need to be skilled in video editing to a professional standard; our clients all have different needs and visions for their films so you will need to take feedback and be flexible and innovative when it comes to putting together a striking piece of video content.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion for documentaries and journalism, with an understanding of the standard editorial process.
  • At least 3 years of lighting and camera experience.
  • Video editing experience, preferably in Adobe Premiere.
  • Experience of filming on location.
  • To be willing and able to work non-traditional hours and travel (this includes on nights, weekends and holidays). You should expect to travel internationally 1-2 times a month.
  • To be a team player.
