Head Dental Nurse & Assistant Practice Manager

As Head Dental Nurse and Assistant Practice Manager, to oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational functions of our NHS & Private two surgery dental practice, ensuring high standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Must have experience as previous Head Dental Nurse & Assistant Practice Manager
  • Assist the Practice Manager (who is the Principal Dentist) with the daily running of the practice, including staffing, rotas, and operational planning.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC, HTM 01-05, GDC, and infection prevention and control standards.
  • Manage clinical stock, equipment maintenance, and supplier ordering.
  • Support clinicians during a wide range of dental procedures NHS & Private, including general, cosmetic, surgical treatments.
  • Oversee decontamination processes and maintain accurate clinical and compliance records.
  • Coordinate patient appointments and deliver an excellent patient experience from consultation through treatment.
  • Handle patient enquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members.
  • Monitor KPIs, support business growth initiatives, and contribute to achieving practice targets.
  • Liaise with laboratories, suppliers to ensure smooth practice operations.
  • Ensure health and safety policies and safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
