Full job description

Shire Healthcare are recruiting for a Practitioner Psychologist to work within an adult inpatient service in Hertfordshire.

Role snapshot:

The candidate appointed will be joining a well-established multi-disciplinary team, including Psychologists. You will work with adult service users across acute inpatient wards in a hospital environment who are experiencing complex and enduring mental health needs. Your caseload will include working with males and females.

The candidate will play an active part in strengthening team working by contributing to staff training, sharing psychological knowledge and supporting the development of effective clinical practice.

The post holder will provide psychological assessments and interventions and adapted brief CBT for patients in the acute phase of their illness.

Contract type – permanent

Hours – Full time.

Salary - up to £66,625 FTE

Experience required:

Clinical,and Forensic Psychologists applying will have HCPC registration and experience working with complex mental health needs, autism and personality disorders. Those with inpatient experience will be at an advantage.
