Full job description

At HireIQ, we specialise in Accountancy & Finance recruitment, and we’re growing.

We’re looking for an Associate Recruitment Consultant to join our Belfast team. This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is ambitious, competitive and motivated by earning potential.

You’ll initially work closely with our experienced consultants, with a strong focus on candidate sourcing, market research and building relationships with high-quality professionals. As you develop your knowledge, confidence and recruitment skills, you’ll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility, develop your own market and progress into a fully-fledged Recruitment Consultant.

No two people progress at the same pace at HireIQ - if you perform, you’ll be rewarded and given the opportunity to progress quickly.

Why HireIQ?

  • Uncapped commission + performance bonuses
  • A clear progression structure with performance-based promotions
  • Structured graduate training and ongoing mentorship from experienced recruiters
  • Work within an established and highly successful Accountancy & Finance recruitment market
  • Monthly incentives, competitions and international trips
  • Early Friday finish
  • Generous holiday allowance
  • A genuinely social, ambitious and supportive office environment
  • Subsidised City Centre car parking
  • The opportunity to significantly increase your earning potential as you progress

What You’ll Be Doing

As an Associate Recruitment Consultant, your initial focus will be on developing the skills that make great recruiters.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Identifying and sourcing high-quality candidates using LinkedIn, databases and recruitment technology
  • Building and maintaining relationships with candidates within your specialist market
  • Conducting candidate screening calls and understanding their career goals
  • Matching candidates to relevant opportunities
  • Managing candidates throughout the recruitment process and keeping them updated
  • Researching the Accountancy & Finance market and developing your industry knowledge
  • Writing and advertising engaging job opportunities
  • Working closely with senior consultants to understand client requirements
  • Developing your communication, negotiation and commercial skills
  • Gradually taking on more responsibility and ownership as your experience grows

As you progress, so does your earning potential. You’ll have the opportunity to develop your own market, take on greater responsibility, build client relationships and progress towards managing your own recruitment desk.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need years of recruitment experience, we’re more interested in attitude, ambition and potential. That being said, at least 6 months in an outbound telesales/customer service role would be desired.

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Competitive and motivated by achieving targets
  • Confident speaking to new people and building relationships
  • Resilient and able to handle rejection
  • Organised with strong attention to detail
  • Commercially minded and motivated by uncapped earning potential
  • Ambitious about progressing their career
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, office-based environment
  • Keen to learn and develop

Previous recruitment or sales experience is not essential. Graduates and candidates with strong customer-facing, sales or competitive backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Your Career at HireIQ

You’ll start by learning the fundamentals of recruitment, developing your candidate network and becoming an expert in your market.

From there, your progression is based on performance, not time served.

If you’re ambitious, competitive and want a career where your effort has a direct impact on your earnings and progression, we want to hear from you.
