ABOUT US

John Gilmour Butchers is an award-winning craft butcher based in Macmerry, East Lothian, supplying many of the finest restaurants and hotels across Edinburgh and the surrounding region. Part Time - 21 Hours (days can be flexible)

Part Time Salary £15,600 -£16,800

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance & Accounts

– Process sales and purchase invoicing accurately and on time.

– Manage supplier payments and maintain strong, positive supplier relationships.

– Oversee company bank accounts and allocate incoming payments.

– Reconcile accounts, post journals and maintain accurate financial records.

– Run weekly and monthly payroll.

– Administer workplace pension contributions.

– Manage credit control activities and chase outstanding debts.

ABOUT YOU

Essential

– Previous experience as an Accounts Administrator or in a similar role.

– Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

– Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

– Experience of payroll processing.

– Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

– Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

– Proactive, reliable and comfortable using your own initiative.

– Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

– Xero or accounting software experience.

– Working knowledge of Sage 50 Payroll is preferred but not required.
