Full job description

Recently opened under new ownership, The Peacock in Stepney is now recruiting for an experienced Pub Supervisor to join the team at our new independent pub and help to establish and grow the business.

You will already be at a supervisor/duty manager level, and looking to take the next step in your career. Working alongside the management team, you will aid in the day to day operations of the pub, support in the control of finance and stocks, and be able to lead and motivate a team to that strives to ensure that guest satisfaction is at the heart of everything we do. For the right candidate, there is an opportunity to progress into an Assistant Manager role in the near future.

You will be passionate about hospitality as a whole, and your passion for the industry will drive you to want to grow and progress.

The Peacock is an independent pub in the heart of Stepney, East London. This traditional East London pub has a rich history and has been at the centre of its community for decades. Keeping true to the spirit of the pub, we'll be championing cask ale, exceptional Guinness and Irish Stouts, and showcasing some of the best breweries and suppliers East London has to offer.

Our vision is simple: provide great beer and great service, with a community atmosphere, and just a touch of that famous Irish hospitality. Community is at the heart of what we do, and we'll be ensuring that locals are the driving force behind our decision making. We do not operate a kitchen, which helps us to focus on the quality of our beers, and the service we provide. Experience in a wet-led or wet-only pub would be an advantage.

We are a small but growing company, and are looking for hospitality lovers that are looking to progress in their career.

Given the nature of the business and the role, we are only looking for candidates that have supervisory experience in wet-led pubs, and the ideal candidate will have a passion for all things beer. Due to a high number of applications, we are only progressing applicants who's background is directly relevant to this role

WHATS IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Company pension plan through NEST
  • The opportunity to develop and grow with the business
  • Flexible working hours
  • Opportunities to undertake industry courses such as WSET, Personal License, Cicerone, ABCQ

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of pub experience.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
  • Eligible to work in the UK
