Braiswick Photographic Co Ltd are looking for School Photographers / Videographers

Job Description:

Braiswick Photographic Co Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our growing team as a School Photographer. This role offers a unique and exciting opportunity to capture high-quality school portraits while working as part of a dedicated team or independently. We provide full in-house training and welcome candidates with a keen interest in photography. We are also looking to expand our Videography Department so any experience and qualifications in this area are welcomed but not essential.

About Braiswick Photographic Co Ltd: Braiswick is a family-run organisation and one of Europe's largest school photography companies. Operating since 1965 we have a wealth of photographic knowledge and passion, which we pass down through our team. As a School Photographer, you will have the chance to learn and grow within the photography field.

Job Responsibilities:

Photography Sessions: Capture individual and class group portraits at school locations according to the style and standards set by Braiswick.

Paperwork and Administration: Complete all job-related paperwork promptly and accurately, ensuring efficient and organised record-keeping.

Travel: Be prepared to travel extensively throughout the UK to schools and occasionally other locations as directed.

Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour while interacting with customers, addressing inquiries effectively.

Office Duties: Competently handle office duties as needed, contributing within our packing, cash and lab departments to ensure the smooth operation of the company.

Product Knowledge: Keep a comprehensive understanding of the company's products and services, maintaining a positive work ethic.

Photographic Set-ups: Stay up-to-date with all photographic set-ups, utilising the company's equipment and tools effectively.

Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that photographic equipment and the provided company vehicle are well-maintained according to management standards.

Health and Safety: Adhere to all company health and safety policies, prioritising the well-being of customers and colleagues.

Company Policies: Comply with all company policies, particularly those related to photographing children, GDPR regulations, and any other relevant guidelines.

Time Management: Effectively manage time and adapt to changing priorities to achieve efficient and productive photography sessions.

Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality at all times, respecting the privacy and security of sensitive information.

Problem Resolution: Address any service issues efficiently and effectively, seeking guidance from the Training Manager as necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Confident Driver: Must be a very confident driver, as the role requires up to six hours of driving per day to reach school locations.

· Experience: Prior experience in driving and photography is preferred, with at least one year of each.

· Education: A GCSE or equivalent level of education is preferred.

· Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with customers and working as part of a team.

· Presentation: The successful candidate should be well-presented and able to establish a good rapport with children.

· Flexibility: Willingness to work irregular and flexible hours, including early starts, Monday to Friday only.

· Language: Proficiency in English is required.

· License/Certification: A valid manual driving license is mandatory.

Desirable Qualifications & Skills (Not Essential):

- Qualifications in Media or Film Production at A Level equivalent or above.

- Experience using Video equipment and editing software.

- Keen interest in the area of Videography.
