Full job description

Project Manager - Landscaper

Looking for just another landscaping job?

Or are you looking to lead a team, create exceptional gardens, and leave a legacy you're proud of?

If it's simply a landscaping job you're after, there are plenty out there, and we genuinely wish you the best in your search.

If, however, you're an experienced landscaper with leadership skills who's looking for something more, keep reading...

Join The Garden Project Co.

We're growing, and we're looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our award-winning team.

Our clients expect the very best, and so do we. Our Director is famously "fussy"—not the impossible-to-please kind, but the kind who believes that precision, passion and pride are what turn a good garden into a great one.

You'll already be highly skilled across all aspects of hard and soft landscaping, confident leading a team, and someone who naturally sets high standards for yourself and those around you.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading a landscaping team on high-end residential projects.
  • Installing just about everything a garden can throw at you.
  • Reading plans, setting out accurately, and working confidently with levels and measurements.
  • Delivering exceptional workmanship from start to finish.
  • Keeping projects running smoothly while motivating your team.

The practical bits

  • Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm.
  • You'll be working outdoors in all weathers (you already know the drill!).
  • This is a physically demanding role.
  • Projects are across Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire, so you'll need to be happy travelling between sites.

What we're looking for

  • Proven people management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Competence across all aspects of landscape installation.
  • Excellent understanding of plans, levels and measurements.
  • A genuine pride in producing outstanding work.

What you'll get

We know time matters.

That's why we offer:

  • 30 days' annual leave (including bank holidays).
  • Your birthday off—because nobody should have to work on their birthday.
  • A supportive team that genuinely enjoys working together.
  • The chance to work on exceptional projects with clients who appreciate quality.

Why The Garden Project Co.?

The biggest difference isn't what we do, it's how we do it.

We're a close-knit team built around shared values. We take our work seriously, but we don't take ourselves too seriously. We work hard, have a laugh along the way, and we're committed to being the best employer our team has ever worked for.

We're a small business with big ambitions, always looking to improve, and we'd love to see what you could bring to the team.

Sound like your kind of role?

Send us your up-to-date CV, a short note telling us why you'd be a great fit, and your salary expectations.

We'd love to hear from you.
