Blinds and Awnings offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced individual within a successful fast-growing business. Blinds and Awnings has over 20 years’ experience in manufacturing, installing, and fitting the best quality made-to-measure Blinds, Awnings, Shutters, and Curtains both in Manual and Motorised options.

Due to increasing demands across both domestic and commercial sectors, we are looking for a new diverse team member to join us. This is a varied position where you will be responsible for the production of Roller and Vertical Blinds, Allusion blinds to start with and further styles of Blinds to follow. Blind Repairs and assistance onsite during Installations may also be required as & when the business needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Making Blinds to specifications from Order Sheets,
  • Accurately measuring and cutting products including fabrics and aluminium,
  • Ensuring that all manufactured Blinds are completed to the required schedule.
  • Ensuring that all Blinds are correctly packed and labelled clearly ready for Installation,
  • To follow all Health and Safety guidelines when using machinery and manual handling,
  • To promptly deal with any issues raised ensuring customer satisfaction,
  • Communicate with both the Showroom and Installation teams throughout the day,
  • Assisting Installers onsite when required,
  • Blind repairs,
  • Checking in deliveries of blinds components, awnings, shutters, blinds, etc

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills in English,
  • Well-presented and professional,
  • Honest, reliable, ethical, and conscientious,
  • Familiar and competent with metric measurements - able to use a tape measure and drills,
  • A good organiser with time planning skills and good timekeeping,
  • Prior Blind making experience would be beneficial,
  • Basic IT skills,
  • General DIY skills,

OTHER INFORMATION:

· CRB will be required,

· Training will be provided for the right candidate,

· Salary to be determined based on experience.
