The business offers an extensive selection of both new and pre-owned vehicles, supported by expert advice, finance options, and aftersales services tailored to customer needs.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Caravan and Motorhome Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of caravans and motorhomes to ensure they meet safety, quality, and manufacturer standards. This role involves diagnosing faults across a range of systems, including electrical, gas, plumbing, and habitation components, as well as carrying out pre-delivery inspections and customer handovers.
Responsibilities

  • Following a job card instruction to effectively undertake work on leisure vehicles
  • Identify opportunities for problem solving
  • Complete Job Cards with information of work and activities undertaken, in a way that can be understood by a customer and is appropriate for a customer to view, as the work is in progress
  • Information for customers of required work, provide accurate estimates of hours and parts required, accurately log your time and update job cards.
  • Complete the Service sheets & gas sheets with the required information, in a way that is professional and can be understood by a customer
  • Accurately log your time for the working day
  • Accurately log the parts used on the job, on the job card
  • Follow the parts return process.
  • Be willing to attend training courses to continue to develop knowledge and understanding
  • Work within the Health & Safety Guidelines Treat customer’s leisure vehicles with care and respect

Habitation Checks

  • Carry out full habitation inspections
  • Test and inspect gas systems, water systems and electrical systems including 12V and 240V
  • Damp testing and reporting
  • Produce clear and accurate inspection reports
  • Identify and advise on remedial work where required

Accessory Fitting

  • Installation of motor movers, solar panels, battery systems and battery upgrades
  • Installation of awnings, bike racks, and other leisure accessories
  • Ensure all installations are completed safely and to manufacturer specifications

General Workshop Duties

  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace
  • Manage parts and materials efficiently
  • Communicate clearly with the sales and admin teams regarding vehicle readiness
  • Deliver work to agreed timeframes without compromising quality

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on motorhomes, campervans or touring caravans
  • Strong understanding of 12V and 240V electrical systems
  • Experience with solar systems and battery installations
  • Ability to work independently and problem solve
  • Full UK driving licence
