Full job description
The Shutter Studio is a family run specialist in all aspects of Shutters, blinds, fly screens and awnings covering London and the South East. We have been operating since 2011 and have grown to become recognised as one of the most respected companies within our industry.
We are looking for a confident individual to join our superb surveying team. The role would ideally suit somebody that is outgoing, enthusiastic and enjoys being in front of a customer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, providing expert advice and, most importantly, winning business. You will be visiting customers in their homes and commercial properties, understanding their requirements, measuring for our products and guiding them through the options available.
You will become a key representative of The Shutter Studio, so we're looking for someone who is professional, personable and confident, with the ability to build rapport quickly and leave customers feeling that they are in safe hands.
What you'll be doing
- Visiting residential and commercial customers across London and the South East.
- Carrying out accurate surveys and measurements for shutters, blinds, fly screens and awnings.
- Meeting customers to understand their requirements and provide expert advice.
- Presenting our products in an engaging and professional way.
- Advising customers on styles, materials, colours and installation options.
- Building strong relationships with customers.
- Answering customer questions and providing a high level of service throughout the sales process.
- Working closely with our sales administration and installation teams to ensure a smooth customer journey from initial appointment through to installation.
- Keeping up to date with our products and developing your knowledge of the industry.
- Sharing customer feedback, trends and opportunities with the wider team.
- Working towards individual and company sales targets and helping to drive the continued growth of The Shutter Studio.
About you
We're looking for someone who is:
- Confident and outgoing – you will be spending much of your time meeting customers face-to-face.
- A natural communicator who can build rapport quickly and make customers feel comfortable.
- Sales focused and motivated by achieving results.
- Professional and personable, with excellent customer service skills.
- Enthusiastic and positive, with a genuine desire to provide a great customer experience.
- Organised and reliable, with excellent attention to detail.
- Comfortable working independently.
- Confident using technology.
- Full of initiative and able to identify opportunities to increase sales.
Previous experience in surveying, blinds, shutters, windows, doors, interiors or a similar industry would be advantageous, but is not essential. More important to us is the right attitude, confidence and ability to connect with customers.
Why join The Shutter Studio?
You'll be joining a growing, family-run business with an excellent reputation within the industry. We take pride in the quality of our products, the service we provide and, importantly, the people we have working for us.
This is a role where you will have real responsibility and the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the growth of the business. You'll receive full product and company training and will work alongside an experienced and supportive team.
If you're someone who enjoys meeting people, has a natural sales ability and wants to work for a company that genuinely cares about its customers and its people, we'd love to hear from you.
