The role
As a Training Centre Administrator, you'll play a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy training centre. From coordinating training administration and managing reception services to supporting information assurance and compliance activities, you'll help ensure an outstanding experience for customers, visitors and colleagues alike. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team where your organisational skills and attention to detail will make a real difference.
Day-to-day, you will be:
Providing efficient reception, administration and information assurance services.
Managing training administration activities, including course bookings and reporting.
Administering purchase orders, receipting goods and maintaining relevant business systems.
Maintaining accurate audit trails for attendance records, feedback, accommodation and training activities.
Supporting the help desk function and liaising with contractors, clients, visitors and internal stakeholders.
This is a permanent, part-time position based onsite at Severn Park Fire and Rescue Training Centre, Avonmouth.
The working hours will equate to 31.5 hours per week pro rata and will consist of three 11-hour shifts per week, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break deducted from each shift. Shifts will normally be worked on consecutive days.
The role will also include occasional weekend working, although this will be limited to one day per weekend, either a Saturday or a Sunday.
Please note that the number of shifts worked each week may vary depending on the rota and training programme requirements. As a result, some weeks may involve two shifts, while others may require four shifts.
Essential experience of the Training Centre Administrator:
Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
Experience liaising effectively with customers, contractors, visitors or internal stakeholders.
Good computer literacy and confidence using office systems.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Qualifications for the Training Centre Administrator:
We value difference and don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education, provided you can show the required level of experience and/or willingness to learn then we would like to hear from you.
