Full job description

About the Role

We build SaaS products and bespoke web applications for business customers. You'll work end-to-end — from understanding what a customer actually needs, to helping shape the product spec, to shipping the thing. We use a curated, opinionated stack and AI tooling to move fast. You won't be choosing the stack or cloud platform, but you will own the implementation, shape the UX details, and respond directly to customer feedback on live products.

This is a role for someone who finds genuine satisfaction in shipping.

.

What You'll Work On

  • Translating customer business requirements into clear product specs and then building them
  • Building full-stack web applications end-to-end
  • Frontend: React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui
  • Backend: Node.js, Express, tRPC, PostgreSQL, Drizzle ORM
  • Leveraging AI coding tools (Claude Code and similar) as a core part of your workflow — not as a novelty, but as a genuine productivity multiplier
  • Iterating on shipped products based on real customer feedback

.

What We're Looking For

.

Experience — you've been here before:

  • You've built and shipped production web applications, frontend and backend
  • You understand databases well enough to know when something will break at scale
  • You've encountered the hard problems that come with real applications — concurrency, data consistency, performance — and you know how to handle them
  • You write code that other developers can maintain

Delivery mindset — you think before you build:

  • When given a business requirement, you ask the right questions before writing a line of code
  • You can turn a vague brief into a concrete spec, and spot the gaps before they become bugs
  • You plan for edge cases rather than discovering them in production
  • You don't over-engineer; you don't cut corners
  • You test what you build before calling it doneAI-native workflow — you use AI tools fluently:
  • Can use AI-assisted coding (Claude Code or similar) to accelerate without losing accuracy
  • Knows when the AI is wrong and how to course-correct
  • Uses AI for scaffolding, research, and iteration — not as a crutch that bypasses understanding

Team fit:

  • Communicates blockers and questions early, not after going down the wrong path
  • Takes ownership end-to-end and sees things through
  • Works well with non-technical stakeholders — can listen, translate, and push back when needed

.

You're Probably Not the Right Fit If:

  • You need to pick your own stack to stay motivated
  • You ship first and think about edge cases later
  • You use AI tools without understanding what they generate

.

What You Get

  • Work on multiple products across different domains — nothing becomes stale
  • A well-defined stack and process so you spend time building, not deciding
  • The satisfaction of seeing real customers use things you built, quickly
  • Direct feedback loop from users to your keyboard

.

.

Pay: £60,000.00-£90,000.00 per year
