Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and efficient Driver / Baggage Handler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers' luggage safely and promptly, ensuring a smooth travel experience. This role requires excellent time management skills and the ability to analyse logistical situations effectively. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where safety, organisation, and customer service are paramount.

Duties

  • Safely operate vehicles to transport baggage between designated locations, including terminals, aircraft, and storage areas
  • Collecting lost luggage, from Terminals, ensuring they are taken safely back to the warehouse
  • Load and unload baggage efficiently, adhering to safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of baggage movements and deliveries
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety and report any issues promptly
  • Coordinate with team members to optimise scheduling and minimise delays
  • Follow all health and safety regulations during operations
  • Providing a reliable service by assisting passengers and airlines courteously and professionally
  • Managing a hand held device to scan all luggage, to ensure nothing goes missing.

Requirements

  • You will need to be over 25 years old due to insurance purposes.
  • Held a UK full clean driving licence for at least 2 years.
  • Willing to graft and lift heavy bags.
  • Loading suitcases on and off the van.
  • Allocating suitcases within the warehouse.
  • Comfortable driving a large van.
  • Drive: Manual
  • Excepted to start as soon as possible.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
