Job Title: Baggage Clearance Driver

Location: Heathrow, Poyle SL3

Reports to: General Manager

Position type: Permanent, full time

Hours: 12 hours per day, 4 on, 4 off (between 08:00-22:00, incl. weekends)

Salary: £25,000 per annum increasing to £28,000 following successful completion of probation period

eCourier Air are looking to employ a van driver for their operation at Heathrow Airport.

The operation is based around a set of fixed runs collecting from Heathrow or Gatwick Airports before returning to our new state of the art operation centre in Colnbrook.

eCourier Air are looking for drivers who are helpful, polite, professional in their approach and who have a caring eye for attention to detail.

The role will include unloading and basic sorting in the warehouse along with scanning procedures that need to be followed closely.

All vehicles and associated costs will be covered by eCourier Air, and you will need to pass a CRB check for an airside pass.

Overtime may also be available on occasions.

Skills Experience and Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of the local area
  • Comfortable adapting to change, meeting the changing demands of the work environment and responding well to any delays or other unexpected demands.
  • Proactively offering support to team members and customer care colleagues in the department to ensure timescales are met.

Characteristics Required

  • Professional and friendly at all times
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Valid manual UK driving license with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy parcels when required
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Role is 4 on, 4 off, so includes weekend and bank holiday working
  • Able to complete DBS background check (criminal checks)
