Full job description

WHAT MAKES US A GREAT PLACE TO WORK

We are proud to be consistently recognized as one of the world's best places to work. We are currently the top-ranked consulting firm on Glassdoor's Best Places to Work list and have earned the #1 overall spot a record seven times. Extraordinary teams are at the heart of our business strategy, but these don't happen by chance. They require intentional focus on bringing together a broad set of backgrounds, cultures, experiences, perspectives, and skills in a supportive and inclusive work environment. We hire people with exceptional talent and create an environment in which every individual can thrive professionally and personally.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

You'll join Bain's London Private Equity Group (LPEG), one of the firm's largest and fastest-growing practices, supporting more than twenty dedicated consulting teams focused on delivering exceptional results for private equity clients.

Working closely with Partners, consulting staff, Human Resources, Revenue, and colleagues across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), you'll play a central role in supporting consultant staffing, professional development, business operations, and community engagement. This is a highly collaborative position that offers broad exposure to Talent Management and staffing operations while building relationships with senior leaders across Bain.

WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

As the Specialist, Private Equity Consulting Program, you'll help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of Bain's London Private Equity Group. You'll support the effective allocation, development, and engagement of consultants while helping continuously improve operational processes and the employee experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, highly organized professional who enjoys balancing operational excellence with people-focused work in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Your responsibilities will span four key areas:
Staffing & Professional Development
  • Manage staffing for the Associate Consultant population, balancing business needs with professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain visibility of the Private Equity case pipeline to anticipate staffing requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with consultants to understand their development goals and availability.
  • Partner with Staffing, HR and case leadership to optimize staffing decisions.
  • Coordinate performance management processes, including review administration and promotion cycles.
  • Support consultant onboarding, rotations, leave arrangements and other workforce planning activities.
  • Monitor consultant development and help facilitate successful integration of new joiners.
Client Development & Pipeline Management
  • Support business development by coordinating consultant staffing for client development activities.
  • Maintain oversight of the London and EMEA opportunity pipeline.
  • Coordinate staffing requests across regional teams.
  • Provide regular pipeline updates to programme leadership.
Meetings, Events & Community
  • Manage the London Private Equity Group calendar and coordinate key meetings.
  • Organize induction programmes, training sessions and community events.
  • Coordinate in-office connectivity days and biannual team events.
  • Help develop initiatives that strengthen engagement, collaboration and team culture.
Programme Operations & Administration
  • Coordinate onboarding activities for new joiners.
  • Maintain staffing data and ensure operational accuracy across internal systems.
  • Partner with Revenue and other teams on staffing administration.
  • Coordinate logistics including office space, meeting rooms and programme communications.
  • Monitor programme reporting and support performance reporting activities.
ABOUT YOU

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
