Baker / Cook - Community Café (Employment Pathways)

Salary

£14.00 per hour

Hours

3 days per week which can be any days from Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work for special in-house events. Kitchen hours of 7:00am to 4:00pm.

Do you love baking, enjoy cooking from scratch, and take pride in creating delicious food? We're looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Baker/Cook to join our team and become part of a warm, supportive working environment where quality and teamwork matter.

Whether you're an experienced baker who enjoys producing freshly baked goods or a cook who loves preparing wholesome food, we'd love to hear from you.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who:

  • Is a confident baker, ideally with commercial baking experience.
  • Is a competent cook, preferably with experience in a professional kitchen.
  • Enjoys working as a team and lone working when needed
  • Enjoys sharing your love and passion for all things foody, with others who want to learn
  • Can work 3 days per week, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work for special in-house events.
  • Is available to work within our kitchen hours of 7:00am to 4:00pm.
  • Can commit to a minimum of 25 hours per week, with additional hours available up to full-time if desired.

Desirable Criteria:-

Experience supporting adults with additional learning needs, learning disabilities or neurodiversity

Experience in a charity, social enterprise, community café or training kitchen

Level 2 or Level 3 Food Safety qualification

Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting people towards employment

Interest in inclusive employment, social value or community development
