After-School Baking Club Leader
Part-time Freelance Contractor | Term-Time Only | Schools within the Richmond, Kingston and Surrey boroughs

Bring your energy, patience and enthusiasm to Bake With Rana, our lively after-school baking club for children aged 6 - 11. You will guide young bakers through fun recipes, helping them build confidence and practical skills along the way. Whether you’re a passionate home baker or experienced in childcare, this is a rewarding opportunity to share your skills and inspire young bakers. Full training is provided.

Our clubs are lively, engaging, sometimes messy and always rewarding. You will see children grow in confidence and develop new baking skills each week. Committed, passionate team members may also have opportunities to work at parties and holiday camps.

What You’ll Do

· Lead fun, safe after-school baking sessions during term time.

· Arrive 30 minutes before each club to set up equipment and prepare ingredients.

· Guide children step by step through each recipe.

· Make sure every child is safely returned to their parent or carer.

· Clean the teaching area and leave it neat and tidy after the session.

How Each Session Works

Clubs begin between 3.15pm and 3.30pm, depending on the school, and run for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Two hours required in total for preparation, set-up, teaching, clear-up and washing up. At the start of each term, we provide all ingredients and lesson plans; packaging and equipment are stored at the schools.

The Ideal Candidate

· Reliable and able to commit to at least three school terms.

· Enthusiastic about working with children and passionate about baking.

· Available on weekdays, particularly from 2.30pm onwards.

Requirements:

· Enhanced Child DBS.

· First Aid qualification.

· Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.

· Safeguarding Certificate.

· Driving and access to a car are preferred.
