Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Dessert Maker to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious desserts ready for delivery to our customers that meet our high standards of quality and presentation.

Please note, this role is a part - time role.

12-13hrs. 2 x 6.5hr shifts. 5pm - 11:30pm - Weekends Saturday and Sunday

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a wide range of desserts for packaging, including cakes, puddings, and specialised treats, adhering presentation standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely (Waffle Machine, Mixers, Blenders, Ovens etc.).
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during food preparation and handling
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the dessert station and kitchen area
  • Clean dishes and utensils.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure desserts are prepared and served promptly during service hours
  • Monitor ingredients stock levels and notify management of any shortages or supplies needed for efficient operation
  • Assist with packaging, labelling, and customer orders

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food preparation, preferably within a restaurant or bakery setting
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Basic maths skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing portion sizes
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
  • Ability to work well within a team, maintaining a positive attitude under pressure
  • Enthusiasm for creating visually appealing desserts that delight guests and encourage upselling opportunities
  • Excellent comprehension of reading, writing and speaking English.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during busy holiday seasons.
