Overview

this job is not for everyone it can be hard work and labour intensive and we would really like some bread baking experience as its very different from being a chef

We are seeking a dedicated Night Baker to join our bakery team. This role involves preparing high-quality baked goods during the overnight shift, ensuring products meet our standards for freshness, taste, and presentation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food production, with experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their culinary skills and contribute to a renowned bakery.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and specialised items, during the night shift
  • Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure timely delivery of fresh products
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of food preparation and baking
  • Operate baking equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and proofers
  • Monitor product quality and make adjustments as necessary to meet quality standards
  • Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health regulations
  • Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and notifying management of shortages or expiry dates
