Orchard House Care Home is a family-owned care home providing permanent and respite care in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. We understand that caring for someone who has an illness, dementia or other disability can exert a heavy toll on families. Our respite services are a welcome break from your caring role.

We provide specialist short and long term support for individuals with dementia, learning disabilities and complex needs.

We are registered with the Care Quality Commission as a residential care home for younger adults, people aged over 65, and for dementia care.

• Bank staff- cover Days and Waking Nights
• Fully enhance DBS check required for this role
• £12.85 per hour

Shift patterns

8am-8pm, 10am-4pm and 8pm-8am

You’ll provide direct support to individuals with a variety of support needs including learning disabilities & Dementia which may include personal care. Will include preparation of food, safe handling and administration of medication and the safety and security of the home and individuals we support.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

It is the nature of the service we provide that tasks and responsibilities are in many circumstances variable and unpredictable. All staff are therefore expected to work flexibly when the need arises, so that tasks that may not be covered in this job description are undertaken. These additional duties will normally be to cover unforeseen circumstances or changes in work and they will normally be compatible with the regular type of work. Also, individuals supported may display challenging behaviours, in which case training will be provided to minimise these behaviours.
