Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar and Restaurant Supervisor/Managerto oversee daily operations within our vibrant hospitality establishment. The role will include managing the restaurant bar and supervising the front of house floor. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent service, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team, ensure exceptional customer experiences, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

  • Supervise all aspects of bar and restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
  • Manage and motivate staff, including serving personnel, kitchen staff, and bartenders, fostering a positive team environment
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to maintain high culinary standards
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all departments
  • Assist in the training and development of team members to enhance skills in hospitality, food production, and customer service
  • Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders for supplies, and manage inventory control
  • Organise shift schedules to optimise staffing levels during peak hours
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the premises in accordance with health regulations
  • Lead by example in delivering excellent hospitality experiences consistent with brand standards

Requirements

  • Proven supervising or management experience within a restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary techniques
  • Experience in serving beverages and managing bar operations; barista experience is advantageous
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
  • Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to oversee multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Previous experience working in a restaurant or hotel setting is preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
  • Ability to work under pressure during busy periods while maintaining professionalism
  • A passion for hospitality, team management, and delivering memorable guest experiences

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £13.50-£18.50 per hour
