The Frimley Green Club is looking for an experienced Bar Manager to take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the bar and function room. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in high standards, strong customer service and efficient bar operations.

You will lead by example, support and develop the bar team, maintain stock control and ensure members and guests receive a friendly, professional service every time they visit.

Bar Manager - About the Role

As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the club bar, ensuring service runs smoothly and standards are consistently maintained. You will manage stock, ordering, rotas and team performance while helping to create a friendly and welcoming environment for members and guests.

Working closely with the Club Committee and wider team, you will support the effective running of bar services, promote good communication and take ownership of key operational tasks, including stock control, cash handling procedures and compliance with licensing requirements.

Bar Manager - Responsibilities

· Lead, support and develop the bar team

· Manage the day-to-day operation of the club bars and function room

· Function Room event booking management and communication

· Monitor bar sales, stock levels, margins and costs

· Support income growth through excellent service, product knowledge and member engagement

· Recruit, train, supervise and support bar staff

· Maintain high standards of bar presentation, cleanliness and customer service

· Manage rotas, stock ordering, deliveries, wastage and supplier relationships effectively

· Ensure licensing, health and safety, hygiene and operational standards are followed at all times

· Handle member and guest feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly

· Maintain clear communication with the Club Committee, staff and suppliers

About You

You will be an experienced Bar Manager, Pub Manager, Club Manager or a strong Assistant Bar Manager ready to take the next step, with a background in licensed premises, clubs or hospitality venues.

You'll also have:

· Personal License

· Experience managing a busy bar, club or licensed hospitality venue

· Confidence leading, supervising and motivating bar staff

· A strong understanding of bar standards, licensing responsibilities and consistent service delivery

· A passion for friendly service, member satisfaction and creating a welcoming club environment

· Good commercial awareness, including stock control, margins, labour costs and cash handling

· Excellent people management, coaching and communication skills

· A hands-on leadership style and willingness to support the team during busy periods

· Good knowledge of licensing, cellar management, health and safety and operational compliance
