Retford Golf Club is looking for an experienced Bar & Functions Manager to lead our Food & Beverage operation and deliver a great experience for our members, visitors, golf societies and event guests.

This is a hands-on management role for someone who enjoys leading a team, delivering excellent service and taking ownership of a busy bar and functions operation.

Key Responsibilities

● Manage the day-to-day bar and F&B operation

● Lead, motivate and develop the hospitality team

● Deliver excellent service to members and visitors

● Manage golf societies, visiting parties and functions

● Plan and oversee Club events and private functions

● Produce effective staff rotas and manage labour levels

● Manage stock, ordering, wastage and controls

● Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service

● Support the General Manager in driving F&B sales and profitability

● Ensure licensing, food safety and Club procedures are followed

What We’re Looking For

● Previous management experience in a similar bar, hospitality, functions or events role is essential

● Strong people-management and leadership skills

● Excellent customer service standards

● Experience organising and delivering functions or events

● Good commercial awareness, including stock and cost control

● Reliable, organised and hands-on

● Flexible to work evenings and weekends as required

Experience within a golf club, members’ club, hotel, events venue or similar environment would be an advantage.
