Experienced Bar / Front of House / Waiting Staff (Part Time)
Boutique Hotel in Torquay, Devon

We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and experienced Bar and Waiting Staff , to join our friendly team at our 25-bedroom boutique hotel in Torquay.

In this varied role, you will deliver excellent customer service at all times and help maintain the high standards our guests expect. You will work a mix of restaurant waiting shifts and bar shifts, with the occasional need to assist at reception.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing warm, friendly & professional service in the restaurant and at the bar
  • Welcoming late arrivals, assisting with enquiries, and ensuring guests feel valued
  • Maintaining high standards of presentation and service throughout the hotel

Shift Patterns:

  • Bar shifts: 5:00pm – 11:00pm
  • Restaurant shifts: 7:45am – 11:45am & 6:00pm – 10:00pm
  • Approximately 3-4 days per week, with potential for more hours

This is a part-time position with an immediate start available for the right candidate.

What we’re looking for:

  • Must be over 18 years old - due to the potential that they may have to serve alcohol unsupervised.
  • A friendly, warm and welcoming personality
  • Smart, presentable appearance and a positive attitude
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Ability to work well both in a team and independently
  • Previous hospitality experience is preferred, but transferable customer service skills are also welcome
  • We are particularly looking for experienced staff who have previously worked in a hotel, or front of house setting. However, this role could suit someone with life experience, flexibility, and a warm, reliable personality – including those who are semi-retired or returning to work

Location: Near Meadfoot Beach, Torquay, TQ1 2LQ
Please note: Limited bus services run to this area, so own transport, or living nearby is a strong advantage.
