Full job description

We are a busy, family-run free house and restaurant located in the village of East Aberthaw, and we are looking for experienced waiting and bar staff to join our friendly, close-knit team.

This is a fast-paced, high-volume venue, so previous experience in a busy hospitality environment is essential. Applicants must be confident working quickly, staying calm under pressure, and delivering great service during busy periods.

We can be flexible regarding the shifts assigned to a new starter and are happy to discuss availability to find a suitable schedule. However, it is essential that the successful candidate is available to work Saturday evenings, as this is a key requirement of the role

Key responsibilities:

  • Welcoming and serving guests to ensure an excellent experience
  • Working efficiently in a busy service environment
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety
  • Working as part of a supportive team to create a friendly atmosphere

We pride ourselves on our positive working environment and low staff turnover. Our team is welcoming and always happy to help new starters settle in.

Important information:

  • Previous experience in a busy or high-volume venue is required
  • Staff keep 100% of tips, shared evenly after each shift
  • Due to our rural location and limited public transport, applicants must have their own transport and should consider commute length before applying
  • Applicants must be 18+ due to the sale of alcohol
  • Pay rate: £12.71 per hour (ages 21+)
