Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Steward to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our bar, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are upheld. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality to develop their skills within a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the cleaning and sanitising of kitchen and dining areas to meet health and safety standards
  • Support the serving staff by preparing tables
  • Handle waste disposal efficiently, ensuring bins are emptied regularly and areas remain hygienic
  • Assist with the organisation of storage areas, ensuring items are stored correctly and labelled appropriately
  • Maintain cleanliness of all bar and kitchen equipment, surfaces, and floors throughout the shift
  • Support team members during busy service times to ensure smooth operations
  • Follow all safety procedures diligently, adhering to hygiene regulations at all times

Requirements

  • Previous experience in hospitality or bar environments is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
  • Knowledge of safety standards and hygiene practices is advantageous
  • Good understanding of serving procedures and customer service principles
  • Basic maths skills for handling stock counts and transaction support
  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy periods
