Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for experienced bar/front of house staff but why work here?

Bar and waiting tables (bar experience required please).

The opportunity to work somewhere a bit different - our English only bar products makes customer interactions more interesting than just pulling pints;

working one weekend day and one weekend night per week ie Friday night and Saturday daytime OR Saturday night and Sunday daytime not all weekend;

two full days off per week;

hourly pay and not salary - if you work you should be paid, a smidge above minimum wage;

We are seeking a welcoming and professional front of house assistant to join our close knit team. Our focus is on excellent customer service and providing our guests with something different. Our bar serves all English draught products and hearty pub food. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages. Your hospitality skills will help create memorable moments for our guests.

Duties

• Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
• Take accurate food and drink orders using basic maths skills for processing. We require experience of working behind the bar please
• Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety standards.
• With excellent attention to detail and cleanliness relay tables
• Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
• Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Address guest inquiries and provide assistance to ensure satisfaction throughout their visit.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area and service stations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of orders.

Requirements

• Previous experience a full pub bar is essential as is waiting experience. Knowledge of drinks, serving styles and types is essential, whilst cocktails is not required.
• Knowledge of food safety practices is advantageous.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Personable and welcoming manner with professional standards
• Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards guests and team members.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Must be available weekends
• Ability to motivate yourself during quiet times and manage workload during busy times

Pay: From £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
