Fold Bistro & Bottle Shop is a neighbourhood spot in Marple Bridge doing things a bit differently — 2 AA Rosette cooking, quality beers, hand-crafted cocktails, and a wine list that changes with the seasons and never sits still. Relaxed on the surface, seriously considered underneath. We want guests to feel like they've found somewhere special, without ever needing to dress up for it.

We're after a Bartender who gets genuinely excited about wine — not just pouring it, but properly getting into it. You'll have real say in what goes on our list, direct relationships with our suppliers (trips and tastings included), full tech sheets on every bottle so you actually know your stuff, and monthly in-house wine events to keep sharpening it. And because our food is 2 AA Rosette standard, what's in the glass has to hold its own — our drinks programme is built to complement and elevate what's coming out of the kitchen.

What you'll be doing

- Mix, pour and serve our wine, beer and cocktail list like you mean it

- Get to know our ever-changing wine list inside out — producers, regions and flavours, backed by full tech sheets

- Have a genuine hand in shaping the list as it moves through the seasons

- Pair and pitch drinks that complement our 2 AA Rosette food — not just whatever's easiest to pour

- Make recommendations that actually help guests, not just fill the till

- Keep the bar and cellar sharp — clean, organised, on point

- Help manage stock and rotation so nothing goes to waste

- Bring ideas to the table for our seasonal cocktail menu, developed alongside the kitchen

- Work as one team with kitchen and front of house so food and drink feel like a single experience

- Know your licensing and health & safety inside out

You'll fit right in if you

- Have bartending or hospitality experience under your belt

- Get genuinely excited about wine and want a real say in what we pour

- Know your way around a classic cocktail — and want to go further

- Ask questions about where things come from and why

- Get why the drinks matter as much as the food, and want to help raise both

- Can hold a conversation and read a room

- Keep your cool when it's slammed

- Show up wanting to learn, not just clock in

- Can work evenings and weekends, no problem
