Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Bar and Events Manager to oversee the organisation and operation of our bar services and special events. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a vibrant team, coordinate diverse events, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained throughout all operations.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise the bar and events team, ensuring efficient service delivery during busy periods.
  • Assist the restaurant manager in the organisation of events, including coordinating staff, and ensuring timely execution.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across all areas.
  • Assist with supervising restaurant or hotel service operations when required, providing leadership in hospitality settings.
  • Develop and implement staff training programmes related to serving techniques, food safety, and customer engagement.
  • Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to optimise operational efficiency.
  • Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to ensure a positive experience for all guests.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote upcoming events or special offers.

Qualifications

  • Proven bar supervising experience within a hospitality environment, ideally in restaurants hotel and bars.
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster a collaborative working environment.
  • Extensive bar experience.
  • Experience in serving within a hospitality setting alongside barista experience is advantageous.
  • Good understanding of food safety standards and regulations relevant to food production and service.
  • Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in event organisation or management is desirable.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with staff and guests alike.
