Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Part-Time Permanent Bar Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons. This role involves serving drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience in a lively and social environment. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and occasional afternoons is preferred.

Current Shift Requirements
Saturday 5/5.30 - 11.00-11.30 (or finish) / Sunday Lunchtime 11.45-3.30 approx. / Monday evenings 5/5.30 - 11.00-11.30 (or finish) & occasional functions & holiday cover.

Responsibilities

  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
  • Take orders accurately and handle cash or card payments using the till system
  • Restaurant table service - taking restaurant drinks orders and delivering to tables.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glasses, utensils, and surfaces
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and licensing regulations at all times
  • Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
  • Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and addressing any queries or concerns
  • Assist in setting up and closing down the bar at the beginning and end of shifts
  • Follow all health and safety procedures to maintain a safe environment for staff and customers

Skills

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is desirable
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and licensing regulations
  • Strong serving skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
  • Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required
  • Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, occasional lunchtimes and holiday periods as needed
