Full job description

Luss Estates has been home to Clan Colquhoun since the 13th century-one of Scotland’s oldest and most storied families. The hotel is in the conservation village of Luss on Loch Lomond and forms part of the 45,000-acre estate operated by the Colquhoun family. The hotel is going through an extensive renovation by Russel Sage Studio and will relaunch this summer as a five-star luxury Coaching Inn with event space creating a new way to enjoy the wild beauty of one of Scotland’s iconic destinations. The relaunch is part of Luss Estates development of its wider visitor offer around the village and loch and the hotel will offer guests many unique experiences as part of their stay.

The hotel respects the individuality of location and its team members, encouraging them to be their natural selves while providing a local, authentic experience to our guests.

We are recruiting bartenders at this luxury 5-star Coaching Inn

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests on arrival with professionalism and warmth, creating a strong first impression.
  • Provide warm, courteous, and professional service to all guests at all times ensuring a memorable luxury experience
  • Prepare and serve a wide range of premium beverages, including classic cocktails, signature drinks, fine wines, whisky and spirits.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of drink recipes, mixology techniques, and current beverage trends.
  • Recommend drinks based on guest preferences and upsell premium selections.
  • Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and always stocked.
  • Handle cash, POS systems, and billing accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area
  • Uphold licensing laws and responsible alcohol service standards
  • Follow all health, safety and hygiene standards
  • Provide recommendations for hotel local experiences
  • Carry our waiter duties as required.
  • Whisky knowledge would be beneficial
