Overview
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Person to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for delivering exceptional customer service in a lively environment. Previous restaurant or bar experience is essential, along with a strong understanding of food safety and responsible alcohol service. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent time management and organisational skills to handle busy service periods efficiently.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with company standards
  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age and promote responsible alcohol consumption
  • Manage stock levels, restocking supplies as needed, and assist with inventory control
  • Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
  • Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety at all times, adhering to health and safety policies

Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Bar Person within a hospitality or restaurant environment
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
  • Excellent serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
  • Experience in time management to ensure prompt service during peak hours
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations and customer service excellence is highly desirable
