Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our culinary team as a Butcher. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic food production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, ensuring safety standards are maintained, and supporting the overall efficiency of our kitchen operations. Previous experience in food preparation or restaurant settings is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

  • Prepare a variety of food products in accordance with established recipes and standards
  • Assist with butchery tasks, including portioning and trimming meats
  • Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed during preparation and handling
  • Support the organisation and cleanliness of the kitchen area, including cleaning utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain quality standards
  • Assist in food plating and presentation for service or packaging for delivery
  • Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of shortages or expiry dates

Experience

  • Previous experience in food production, culinary roles, or restaurant environments is advantageous
  • Knowledge of food safety procedures and HACCP standards is desirable
  • Practical experience in food preparation, including butchery or specialised cooking techniques, is a plus
  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools used in professional settings
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
