Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and energetic Front of House All-Rounder to join our vibrant café team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about delivering excellent customer service and eager to work in a lively, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing beverages, and ensuring smooth daily operations. Previous experience in a similar setting is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages in accordance with company standards.
  • Greet customers warmly and take their orders efficiently.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the till system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables, counters, and display units.
  • Assist with food preparation tasks as required, ensuring food safety standards are upheld.
  • Restock supplies and ensure all equipment is functioning correctly throughout shifts.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing enquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a barista or in a customer-facing role is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in serving customers efficiently with a friendly attitude.
  • Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
  • Ability to prepare simple food items as needed.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods.
  • Excellent organisational skills to maintain cleanliness and stock levels.
  • A positive attitude with good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
