Barista

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £14.00 An Hour

Our concept blends speciality coffee with a refined all-day fresh seasonal menu and afternoon tea, and now we’re looking for an experienced Barista to join our journey.

We’re looking for:

  • Barista with 2-3 years of experience.
  • Excellent Latte art / Milk quality.
  • Can-Do attitude, flexible.
  • Professional, responsible and punctual
  • A vibrant and confident personality who thrives in the buzz of service. Your experience as a barista in a similar cafe or restaurant will allow you to hit the ground running and set you up for success with us.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced cafe environment, with the ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure, whilst providing consistency.

Required Skills

  • Knowledgable in Espresso extraction, milk texturing, latte art and manual brewing methods.
  • Latte Art, milk texturing.
  • Educated in coffee origins, processing methods, roasting styles and flavour profiles.
  • Ability in working in fast paced environments and delivering consistent quality coffee.
  • Leadership and training skills providing training and helping to develop the skills of junior members of staff.
  • Competence in Machine usage / cleaning.
  • Someone with good presentation, cleanliness and attention to detail.
  • Timekeeping and organisation working within a busy environment.
  • Food safety and health and safety knowledge with understandings of allergens and appropriate steps of compliance.

Desirable Criteria

  • Speciality Coffee Association (SCA) or equivalent barista certifications
  • Experience with Coffee cupping, sensory analysis or competitions.
  • Knowledge of green coffee, roasting or advanced brewing techniques
  • Familiarity with cafe operations, POS systems, and financial controls.
  • Experience developing seasonal menus or signature drinks
