Overview
A pivotal role within the J. Parker’s group, our Front of House Assistants are the face of our café, serving customers with a smile, preparing drinks and food, and helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re making a perfect flat white or keeping the café clean and tidy, your role is key to delivering a great customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and take orders in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Prepare and serve hot and cold drinks, snacks, and light meals
  • Operate the till and handle cash and card payments accurately
  • Maintain cleanliness of the café, including tables, counters, and equipment
  • Restock supplies and assist with deliveries
  • Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures
  • Support the team during busy periods and help with opening/closing duties
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle queries or complaints professionally

Personal Specification

  • A positive attitude and a passion for customer service
  • Have an approachable, positive and proactive manner
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic food hygiene knowledge (training will be provided)
  • Flexibility to work weekends and peak trading periods as needed
  • Previous experience in a café or hospitality setting is a bonus

Pay: £12.90 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
