Oxford City Council is a top performing Council delivering important services to the city’s 152,000 residents. We strive to provide first class services, excellent customer care and an exciting programme of innovation and regeneration.

As part of our neighbourhood working, we are looking for a suitably experienced professional that can connect our community centres in partnership with local organisations to serve our residents, leading our busy Community Centres team and continuously improving the offer we deliver to our communities. We currently manage and operate various community buildings within the city including the flagship Rose Hill Community Centre, East Oxford Community Centre and Blackbird Leys Community Centre, with Blackbird Leys Community Centre in the process of multi-million-pound redevelopment, Jubilee Hall and part of the Barton Neighbourhood Centre.

The successful candidate will be flexible, hardworking and have a can-do attitude. You should be a team player who communicates well, can drive through change, has a commercial eye and can quickly build strong relationships with the community, staff team and with partners. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Rose Hill Community Centre, East Oxford Community Centre and potentially other Council operated community facilities if required. You will also chair the network of Community Associations who manage the other Council owned community centres in the city. This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for the right person.
