Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the senior manager on duty, overseeing all aspects of resort operations during assigned shifts.
  • Coordinate daily activities across all departments, ensuring alignment with service standards and business goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for guest escalations, operational challenges, and emergency situations.
  • Support and guide department supervisors and team leads to ensure smooth shift transitions and efficient service delivery.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction across the resort and work collaboratively to continuously enhance the guest experience.
  • Conduct regular walk-throughs of all areas, identifying and addressing operational or maintenance issues.
  • Maintain close communication with the Operations Manager and Heads of Department regarding daily performance and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing regulations across all outlets.
  • Assist in onboarding and mentoring junior management and supervisory staff, promoting a positive and accountable workplace culture.
  • Take ownership of incident reporting, shift logs, and daily summaries for senior management review.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Strong operational understanding of multiple departments (e.g. food and beverage, front desk, housekeeping, events).
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a collaborative and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure, prioritise tasks, and manage complex operational needs.
  • Strong understanding of guest service principles and commitment to exceeding expectations.
  • Confident decision-maker with a hands-on attitude and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
