Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant hospitality team at Gylly Beach Cafe.

As a team member, you will deliver exceptional customer service through maintaining an inviting space for our customers whilst working within all company procedures and health and safety requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Greeting all guests as they enter and ensuring they are made to feel welcome.
  • Ensure that service, delivery and presentation of food and beverage to customers is an exceptional standard.
  • Upselling and add on sales of own brand products as well as other menu items to increase average spend per person.
  • Excellent product knowledge of own goods as well as Cornish goods and promoting these when taking a visitor’s order and serving dishes.
  • Cleaning and housekeeping duties, including weekly deep cleaning by following the Safer Food Better Business guidelines.
  • Ensuring absolute compliance to the law relating to the sale of alcohol.
  • Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety and Health & Hygiene laws and recommendations to ensure safety for visitors and employees.
  • Maintaining high standard and operating procedures and ensuring compliance with Company procedures.
  • You will assist the management team in effective stock control and waste management, including stock takes, maintaining records to ensure restaurant is cost effective.
  • Assisting the kitchen team with cleaning duties as required.
  • To be open to completing tasks which may fall outside of your role or remit with a positive, sleeves rolled up mentality as and when requested.

Work Experience

  • Experience working in a busy hospitality environment
  • Bar/Barista experience

Skills

  • Food hygiene qualification (desirable)
  • Ability to work at pace

Salary - From £12.21 p/h DOE
