Beacon Medical Services Group is an innovative community-based service provider dedicated to delivering high-quality clinical care to the NHS and Private sector.

We are seeking highly motivated Healthcare Assistants to support us delivering our community Ears, Nose & Throat, Ultrasound, MRI services . Must have own vehicle required to fulfil this role.

Comprehensive training will be provided, and previous experience is not essential. We prioritise attitude and enthusiasm for delivering excellent patient care.

**Job Purpose**

To actively contribute to patient care as a non-registered nurse within the multidisciplinary team in the service area.

Clinics operate from Monday to Sunday, running seven days a week, with various start times up to 6 pm. We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking, and compassionate individual to support the efficient functioning of these clinics and deliver high-quality care to all our patients.

**Scope**

The post holder will work flexibly across multiple clinics and sites, including ENT service. This will involve working with different teams and environments regularly.

Candidates must hold a clean driving license and have personal transportation to cover clinics across Greater Manchester, Preston, Chorley, and expanding areas.

The role involves delivering patient care alongside Consultants, Audiologists, GPs, and other Clinical Professionals.

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistently high-quality, compassionate, and patient-centred care in accordance with clinical guidelines and best practice.
  • Ensure patients are fully informed and actively involved in decisions about their care, fostering a collaborative and respectful environment.
  • Carry out designated clinical tasks safely and competently, including observations, basic procedures, and patient support, within your scope of practice.
  • Record all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions clearly, accurately, and promptly in accordance with professional standards and legal requirements.
  • Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote seamless care and mutual understanding.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and dignity at all times, ensuring a respectful and safe clinical environment.
  • Safely transport and handle equipment or assist with patient movement in line with manual handling policies and training, minimising risk to self and others.

Organisational Responsibilities

  • Uphold strict confidentiality and data protection in all areas of work, ensuring sensitive information is handled appropriately.
  • Adhere to all Beacon Medical Services Group policies, procedures, and protocols, including those related to infection control, quality assurance, and operational standards.
  • Remain fully compliant with safeguarding protocols, including participation in all required training and staying informed about current local and national safeguarding procedures.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organised clinical environment in accordance with Care Quality Commission (CQC) expectations.

Managing Resources

  • Use organisational resources efficiently and responsibly, demonstrating an awareness of cost-effectiveness and environmental impact.
  • Understand and participate in stock control processes, ensuring appropriate levels of clinical supplies and the avoidance of waste.
  • Take responsibility for the routine care and maintenance of equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns.
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety legislation and participate in audits, risk assessments, and incident reporting processes as required.

Training and Development

  • Complete all statutory and mandatory training on time, maintaining up-to-date knowledge relevant to your role.
  • Take responsibility for your own learning and development by actively engaging in ongoing in-service training opportunities, team-based learning sessions, and professional development initiatives.
  • Participate in regular appraisals and supervision to reflect on practice and identify future learning needs.
  • Support the induction and development of new team members or students when appropriate.

Service Delivery and Improvement

  • Play an active role in upholding and improving the quality of services delivered by the team, contributing to regular service reviews and audits.
  • Participate constructively in team meetings, contributing ideas for improving patient care, efficiency, and safety.
  • Embrace and implement changes in practice that arise from new evidence, policy updates, or service development initiatives.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a positive attitude in response to evolving service needs, occasionally undertaking duties outside of core responsibilities to support the wider team.
