Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Porter/Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. This role involves supporting the daily operations of our kitchen by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a smooth workflow. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and an interest in hospitality and culinary environments. Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality settings is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience within a professional kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks to support chefs and kitchen staff
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Ensure all work surfaces are sanitised and organised according to health and safety standards
  • Help with the storage of ingredients and supplies in designated areas
  • Support in serving food and beverages when required during busy periods
  • Assist with waste disposal and recycling processes efficiently
  • Follow health and safety protocols at all times to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements
