Who are we?
Formed in 2003 and based in Hertford, ITS Digital provides IT support to customers ranging from home users and businesses through to the NHS. Our close working team of engineers and support staff focus on end-user support, both on customer sites and remotely.
We have evolved our working processes over many years to provide the best and most efficient service we can, whilst still creating great customer relationships along the way.
We have a very low staff turnover and support our employees wherever possible, helping to foster a positive working environment.
What’s involved?
This is a varied, multi-skilled role working within our warehouse, imaging and dispatch area.
This is not a traditional “cold warehouse” role. The work is carried out in a clean IT environment where equipment is received, prepared, configured, recorded, repaired where possible and dispatched to customers or engineers.
The role includes a mixture of stock control, IT equipment preparation, laptop imaging, project dispatch, repairs, supplier returns and general warehouse organisation.
At its core, this position requires strong organisation, accuracy and good communication with others within the company. The ideal candidate would have previous experience, or an enjoyment of computers and IT, as further training will be provided.
Main duties
The role may include:
· Assigning stock in and keeping stock records accurate.
· Picking and preparing equipment for engineer jobs and customer dispatch.
· Preparing/Imaging laptops, desktops and other IT equipment for deployment.
· Applying asset labels and recording serial numbers accurately.
· Preparing quantities of equipment for customer deployments.
· Replacing laptop screens, keyboards and other components where required.
· Technical repairs where appropriate, including soldering – Training available.
· Testing returned or faulty equipment.
· Recording returned goods and processing RMAs.
· Liaising with suppliers regarding warranty returns and faulty goods.
· Processing, reusing or disposing of returned goods as necessary.
· Monitoring stock levels and helping keep stock sheets up to date.
· Completing quarterly stock checks and investigating any anomalies.
Are you suitable?
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate:
· A high attention to detail to ensure correct processes are followed.
· Good personal time management to ensure deliveries, dispatch and equipment preparation are completed promptly.
· Good verbal and written communication, as the role involves liaising with engineers, support teams, purchasing staff, suppliers and couriers.
· A practical, hands-on approach to working with IT equipment.
· Good organisation and the ability to keep stock records and spreadsheets accurate.
· A reasonable knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows.
· An interest in computers, IT hardware and technical problem-solving.
Advanced IT knowledge can be picked up over time, but a good basic understanding of Windows, Microsoft Office and general computer hardware would be expected.
Previous experience in a similar role would be useful but is not essential.
Desirable but not essential
Experience in any of the following would be useful:
· Laptop or desktop imaging.
· IT stock control.
· Dispatch or warehouse administration.
· Laptop repairs, including screens, keyboards or component replacement.
· RMA processing or supplier returns.
· Soldering or electronics repairs.
· Working with stock sheets, purchasing sheets or asset records.
Hours of work

9.00am – 5.30pm
The initial working times are 9.00am – 5.30pm, with an option to change after the probation period.
