Due to Company growth and expansion, SecuriGroup is seeking to appoint a Bid Writer working within Glasgow, to demonstrate our values of Loyalty, Integrity and Professionalism.

SecuriGroup is a leading provider of physical security services and technologies, dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of our clients through innovative and effective solutions. Our services include security officer and front-of-house services, mobile patrols and alarm response, intelligence analysis and reporting, event and leisure safety and security and the design, installation and maintenance of security and fire systems.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bid Writer to join our bid and communications team. The position reports to the Bid Manager, and the successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality, compelling bids and proposals to secure new contracts and business opportunities. This role requires excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Bid Preparation: Develop and write detailed, persuasive bids and proposals in response to client requirements and tender documents.
  • Research: Conduct thorough research to gather relevant information. Attend site visits and acquire insights to support bid content.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including operations, compliance, and finance, to gather necessary information and ensure accurate and comprehensive bid submissions.
  • Compliance: Ensure all bids comply with client specifications, industry standards, and Company policies.
  • Review and Edit: Review and edit bid documents for clarity, grammar, and overall quality.
  • Presentation: Prepare and participate in client presentations as part of the bid process.
  • Tracking and Reporting: Maintain records of bid submissions and outcomes and provide regular reports on bid status and success rates.

What We Need From You:

  • Education: Technical Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is desirable. Professional certifications in bid and proposal management (e.g., APMP certification) would be advantageous.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in bid writing, preferably within the security services industry. Or 5 years demonstrable equivalent writing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of the private security industry is a plus.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a positive attitude.
