What we are looking for?

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced, organised and dedicated Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction across both hotels.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operation of the housekeeping department, supervise & support the team and ensure a safe, efficient and well-organised working environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated leader to utilised their organisational skills and industry expertise within a dynamic boutique hotel environment.

Duties

  • Oversee the daily cleaning operations across all guest bedrooms and public areas.
  • Lead, train, motivate and support the housekeeping team to consistently deliver exceptional service.
  • Plan and implement effective cleanning schedules and procedures.
  • Carry out regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained.
  • Work closely with the maintenance team, front of house team and management team to prioritise tasks and allocate resources effectively.
  • Manage stock levels of cleaning products and presentation standards are maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures and hotel policies.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and checklists to optimise efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections to monitor standards of cleanliness and address any issues promptly.
  • Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven management experience within hotel housekeeping or commercial cleaning.
  • Strong leadership skills and people management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations relating to housekeeping operations.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Relevant Health & Safety or specialised cleaning qualifications are desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will be proactive, professional, reliable and passionate about delivering outstanding cleanliness and service while leading a high-performing team.

Hours

This is a full-time position for up to 42 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7. Flexibility is essential, as the role includes weekends and bank holidays.
